Elevate Her Uganda

Extends a Hand of Compassion to Ms. Koruramburo Alice

On 28th August, the team from Elevate Her Uganda reached out to Ms. Koruramburo Alice, a resilient woman from Kashari, Mbarara, who has been bravely battling colon cancer for the last four years.

Alice’s story is both heartbreaking and inspiring. With no family to lean on, no children of her own—having lived with the pain of barrenness—she survives only by the grace of God and her own strength. Despite her struggles, she remains a testament to courage and perseverance.

Currently, Alice manages to access minimal medical care through Hospice Africa Uganda in Mbarara, where she pays UGX 15,000 every month to receive a small supply of medication. Sadly, this support is insufficient, and she continues to endure the burden of illness without proper treatment.

Recognizing her pressing needs, our team offered Alice a package of essential food and household items, that can take her a month

Additionally, we provided her with a mobile phone to ensure continuous communication and follow-up, alongside a small upkeep contribution to help her sustain her monthly medical costs.

At Elevate Her Uganda, we strongly believe that every woman deserves dignity, love, and support, especially in times of vulnerability. Alice’s journey reflects the hidden struggles many women silently face—isolated, without family, and battling life-threatening conditions. It is our mission to stand with them, offering not just aid, but also hope.

We call upon compassionate Ugandans and well-wishers across the world to join hands with us in extending more sustainable support to Alice and others like her. Together, we can restore dignity, bring healing, and remind women in their toughest battles that they are not alone.

"..because when we uplift one woman, we uplift an entire community."
