Welcome to Elevate Her Uganda
Elevate Her Uganda is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women and girls in rural and urban communities. Born from a vision of resilience and hope, we strive to transform lives through education, skills training, business support, and advocacy against gender-based violence.
Driven by a vision of resilience and hope, we address challenges such as poverty, limited education, and inequality, creating pathways for women to thrive, lead, and contribute meaningfully to their communities.
Elevate Her Uganda was established with a vision to empower women and girls facing significant challenges in rural and urban communities. Founded by Loice Natukunda and a group of passionate women, the organization emerged as a response to the pressing need for education, economic independence, and advocacy against gender-based violence.
Loice’s personal journey and desire to address the systemic barriers faced by women inspired the formation of Elevate Her Uganda. Today, the organization stands as a beacon of hope and transformation, impacting countless lives through its strategic programs and initiatives.
The story of Elevate Her Uganda is deeply rooted in the resilience and determination of its Co-Founder and Executive Director, Loice Natukunda. Inspired by her mother, Evangeline Kamaruka, a mother of 16 children, Loice witnessed firsthand the power of perseverance.
Despite unimaginable hardships, Evangeline worked tirelessly to provide for her family, instilling in Loice the value of hard work and the importance of empowering others.
This legacy of resilience became the foundation of Elevate Her Uganda. Loice’s vision is to create opportunities for women to overcome challenges, break the cycle of poverty, and lead empowered lives, echoing her mother’s unwavering determination and strength.
